Gene started his creative career in graphic design and switched to photography a decade ago. His original subjects were musicians and bands that inspired him. That foundation in music and design still shapes his work today, alongside ongoing band promo projects and editorial shoots for music magazines. His work is regularly published in Philadelphia Magazine, Magnet, Decibel, Grid Magazine, etc.
In his work, Gene combines story-driven elements from photojournalism with editorial portraits. Gene’s intuitive, documentary style allows him to create timeless photos that capture the atmosphere of the day.
Gene lives in Abington PA with his partner Jess, their daughter Anika and 2 cats. When he’s not photographing, you’ll likely find him deep into a DIY project in his garage, tending to his backyard vegetable garden or catching up on podcasts.
