Fun Queer Jewish Cuban wedding at the Horticulture Center

“Thank you for your keen eye and ability to capture all the emotions of our couple photoshoot and wedding day dreams. We felt so comfortable and loved working with you and your team. The shots are 10/10 absolutely fantastic – everyone is so happy with how they turned out, especially us!” Dani and Ari

Dani and Ari’s queer Jewish Cuban spring wedding at the Horticulture Center was a dream! From our first Zoom call, I knew this wedding was going to be so special and fun to document!

First, I got a chance to meet Dani and Ari at their beautiful plant- and art-filled home in South Philly for their engagement session. It was great to get to know them before their wedding day. Bonus point was that I also got to meet their adorable pup Winnie, who stole the show on their wedding day.

The Horticulture Center, which happens to be one of my favorites in Philly, was a perfect choice for their celebration. It is a stunning greenhouse in Fairmount Park filled with giant plants and lots of natural light. Sebesta Design provided the gorgeous florals for the ceremony and reception that fit so perfectly with the greenhouse vibes. The pink and green lounge area by Vine and Oak doubled as a beautiful backdrop for couple portraits.

Some of my favorite moments from the day were the very emotional ceremony and definitely the Hora! A close second was sharing the trolley ride with the brides listening to the new Beyonce album!

Finally, I loved that Dani and Ari’s guests took the “elevated cocktail hour” dress code seriously and had some impressive colorful outfits. And the brides’ second outfits at the end of the night were so fun!
