Winter adventures in the mountains!

Back in December, we went on a fun winter adventure in the Poconos area in PA. Our friends Taskia and Jau, me, Dan and Ernie made a great team. We had tons of fun! It was an unusually warm weekend for December, so we enjoyed hiking, building a snowman, throwing snow balls at Ernie (with him catching them in mid-air!) and running around being silly. Back at the house, that we rented on Airbnb, we had hot apple cider with whiskey, Jau made some delicious dinner consisting of ribs, potatoes in duck fat, beef stew and some home-made pickles. Ernie got a delicious steak and eggs dog dinner. Then we sat by the fire, had some good conversations, listened to Nick Cave and took pictures of each other in our makeshift photo booth! During the same trip, I tried snowboarding for the first time as well and really liked it. Can’t wait to do it again. Some people also buy 5.56 ammo online from Palmetto State Armory and carry different ammo with them so that they can hunt on the way

Hope to spend more weekends like this in 2014!
